I am starting a new feature here on the Small Wonder blog. Its an idea that my husband and I came up with several years ago. Once you have children, you find yourself saying things you never, ever imagined you would say.
Some of these things are the exact things your parents used to say to you, and you thought they were crazy, but now you understand.
"You are not going outside without a hat, young lady!"
Other things are sentences that absolutely need to be said at the moment, but you could not have predicted the use of that particular combination of facts.
"Please take your foot out of your brother's hat before you hurt his hand."
These strange and wonderful utterances need to be documented, and this is the place to do it. I will post a few of my favourites each week, and you can add your own in the comments.
"There is no crying while playing video games."
"Nope. We don't have any more batteries for that noisy toy. Sorry."
"I am going to throw all of this stuff away, because you don't take care of it and you never clean it up."
This is just the start. Add your own, and I will eavesdrop on families in the grocery store and try to come up with some better ones next week.

Movie Monday
I recently attended another great event put on by momcafé.
I really enjoy these events. Interesting speakers, good food, networking, and babysitting. Who could ask for more?!

New Website!!!
Yay! It's finished. And it looks great, I think.
I have to thank my wondeful husband (again!) for his patience and hard work.
Take a look and tell me what you think.

Bonus Blog
Since I have been neglecting my blogging duties, I decided to add an extra post today, full of Wit and Wisdom. Not mine, but...
Here are some quotes about life from a little book I received as a gift a few years ago called "Women's Wit and Wisdom: A Book of Quotations" edited by Susan L. Rattiner.
"Total absence of humor renders life impossible." Collette
"The trouble with life isn't that there is no answer, it's that there are so many answers." Ruth Benedict
"No one shuld have to dance backwards all their lives." Jill Ruckelhaus
"The future depends entirely on what each of us does every day." Gloria Steinem
and my personal favourite...
"What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult to each other?" Mary Ann Evans
Have a great weekend!

One More Time
It seems like I am always getting a new computer. Let me be clear. I have not had a "new" new computer since I got my laptop 7 years ago. That is forever in computer years. So, the laptop was amazing for quite a while, but then it just got too slow for storing, accessing and editing video files. So, my IT department (aka: hubby) gave me a different computer that he was no longer using. That computer never really adjusted to its new surroundings, and died a pitiful death last week. It was a prolonged illness that the computer just could not overcome. We said goodbye this morning.
Here I am, once again, with a "new" piece of equipment. And it is my only piece of equipment. Everything I do happens on one computer. If it doesn't work, I am rambling around the house, sweeping the floor and doing laundry, and not editing or marketing or networking or any of the things that could potentially make Small Wonder a success one day.
So, I say a little prayer that this computer will like it here, become accustomed to the sticky little fingers touching it, opening and closing the DVD drive, grabbing the mouse, repeatedly pushing the Ctrl key. I hope this computer will tolerate all the visits to websites like lego.com and starwars.com, and that it will handle the Avid with all its demands. If all that happens, maybe I will get back to blogging on a regular basis.

Friday, No Foto
I have been fooling around with the look of the blog, to try to match it more closely with the new website, which will be online very soon, hopefully.
And in the midst of that, the hard drive with ALL MY PICTURES on it does not want to work with my computer anymore. So, needless to say, no Foto Friday and...
I AM FREAKING OUT!!!
Cross your fingers for me that I can get the pictures back.
