We had a couple of extra days off this week, and the weather wasn't bad, and maybe I was just a little bored, so I took the training wheels off.
Here's how that went...
And how it ended...
I guess it wasn't as simple as I thought it would be.
Does anyone remember how one learns to ride a bicycle?

Isn't there a method where you push the child along while holding on to the back of the bike and then suddenly let go once they reach cruising speed....at which time you yell, "great job" and then they realize you are no longer holding on, get freaked out, and fall off?
I was going to recommend the same thing as T. I always thought the parent was supposed to hold them up at first, not video tape them as they struggle... ;-P Kidding! Clearly this way makes for a much more entertaining birthday video next year!
i was just going to say that too, T!
i just LOVE this video "I don't want to do this anymore!"
PRICELESS!
the bikes are a little small also. it's harder for them to balance with smaller bikes. and yes the parent is suppost ot run beside not video tape. That's how I taught you.
Okay, just to be clear, I DID run beside them holding them up while they did nothing, and when I let go they immediately fell over. And every time I ran away with a bicycler, the baby started crying in his stroller. It really was a comedy of errors! lol
I did think maybe the bikes are too small. Thanks for your suggestions, everyone. Hopefully they will learn to ride before their baby brother!
