Note: When I was 4 years old (I actually remember it very clearly!), I screamed during the kindergarten Christmas celebration when they tried to put me on Santa's lap. Isn't it ironic?

So here's the deal with Santa which makes no sense......"Now children, stay away from strange men"....... "Now son/daughter, go SIT on that strange man's LAP". ???????
My daughter disliked the mall Santas, but when she saw the day care Santas, she was fine. Maybe the safer environment and seeing all those other kids she knew sitting on his lap and talking to him?? I agree with T. A strange paradox we show our kids. And then there is the mascots - very frightening!
