Aircraft carriers are HUGE!
I have no idea, but it's an interesting photo.
We each had our own audio tour headset.
Hands down, their favourite part was getting to sit in the various cockpits.
Future pilots???
As you can tell, Paul had the camera. The highlight for the Little One and me may have been the wheelchair lift ride down to the lower deck. The audio tour was great, and both Paul and I would like to return when we could take more time to listen and look. (ie: without kids) Picked up a few souvenirs at the gift shop, grabbed a super-quick bite at the Midway snack bar, and walked 200 meters to our next activity...
Whale Watching: I LOVED this, and between a napping toddler and a sea-sick kid, I barely even saw the whales. So, after reading about the Cronins whale watching experience, we were on alert. Stopped at the pharmacy for pepto chewables, bought Dramamine on the boat for Paul and me. But, alas, we never were able to find anything for the kids to take. The boat rocked and rocked. Result: the Little One fell asleep, and the older boys felt sick. One had a headache, the other one, full on sea sickness. I gave him some pepto, a kind lady brought him some ginger ale, but in the end, there is only one way to end sea sickness. Poor dude.
Everything starts out just fine.
Hodad's: Some very good friends of ours went to San Diego last summer, and they recommended this place for awesome burgers and people watching. So, we ended our second day sitting at one end of a long table shaped like a surf board, eating the messiest and tastiest burgers in Southern California.
Back to our rental in time to get the kids into bed, and enjoy our nightly glass of wine. Tomorrow, Sea World!

This is all very well documented considering you didn't blog 'on the fly'! Did you take notes? Nice work. This looked like a full, fun day. I'm glad you enjoyed the whale watching! At least some of you...:-)
I want a glass of wine sooo bad right now (since I should be sitting across from you right now, doing your makeup!)
:-( I'm feeling sorry for myself.
Sea sickness sucks!! Hopefully seeing some whales was enough to make the trip worth it.
PS - the thought of those burgers is making me hungry...yum!
The circle of the sun pic and the furture pilots pics are my favs. Framers for sure!!!
